This Privacy Policy explains how Zappo EV Charging ("Zappo", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information across zappoevcharging.com, the Zappo EV Charging driver app, and the Zappo Hub station owner app (together, the "Services").
Account information. Name, phone number, and email address when you register. Drivers may also provide address details (address line, city, state, pincode) for billing purposes.
Verification data. Your phone number is used to send a one-time password (OTP) via our SMS provider (MSG91) to verify your identity at sign-in.
Location data. The driver app uses your device's location, with your permission, to show nearby charging stations on the map. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time.
Vehicle data. If you use Plug & Charge, we store your vehicle's charging identifier (idTag/eMAID) to authorize charging sessions automatically.
Payment data. Payments and wallet top-ups are processed by Razorpay, our payment gateway partner. Zappo does not store your card, UPI, or net-banking credentials — Razorpay handles that data under its own security standards and privacy policy. We retain only the resulting transaction records (amount, date, status) and your wallet balance.
Charging session data. Energy consumed (kWh), cost, connector/station used, start and end times, and charging status for every session, so billing is accurate and you can review your history.
Station owner data. For station owner accounts: station and charger details, pricing you set, and revenue/settlement records tied to your stations.
Device and usage data. Basic device/OS information needed for the apps to function correctly, and — on our website only — anonymized browsing analytics via Google Analytics (see Cookies, below).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, secure token-based authentication) to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and afterward only as long as needed for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
You can review and update your profile information from within the app. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us at support@zappoevcharging.com or call +91 97152 22266. We will respond within a reasonable time and delete data we're not legally required to keep.
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand traffic (pages visited, general location, device type), using cookies. This data is anonymized and used only to improve the site — not to identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
Our Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old (the legal age to hold an EV driving license and make payments in India). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as our Services evolve. We'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
